The key to a successful roof replacement is to hire a company that knows what they’re doing. Luckily, Ken’s Parkhill Roofing in Euclid can help. However, while we’ll take care of the heavy lifting, there are still a few things you can do in preparation for your roof replacement to ensure a smooth and seamless process.

Clear the Walls

During the Euclid roof replacement process, we won’t have to enter your home. However, the work we’re doing on the roof may affect certain things inside your home, such as things hanging on the walls. All of the hammering, stomping, and activity that happens on the roof creates vibrations that could knock anything hanging on your wall to the ground. Therefore, it’s best practice to remove any pictures, mirrors, and decorations from your wall before we begin.

Keep Your Vehicles Out of the Way

You may also need to rethink your parking situation during the roof replacement. The main reason for this is so that we have a spot to park our dumpster so that we can throw your old roofing materials directly into it as we remove them. Parking your vehicles a little further away from the house will also reduce the risk of roofing materials accidentally falling on your vehicle and causing damage.

Remove Anything Around the Perimeter of Your Home

In addition to keeping your vehicles parked at a safe distance from your home, you should also remove anything from the house’s immediate perimeter. That includes patio furniture, tools, and anything else you don’t want to get damaged. You should also make sure no dogs, cats, or other pets are left wandering outside unattended, as we’d hate for something to fall on them.

Don’t Forget the Kids

Even more importantly than patio furniture and pets, it’s essential that your kids know what’s going on at your home. Keep a close eye on them and don’t let them wander outside unattended, for the same reasons we mentioned above.

Clear the Roof

Additionally, if you have any TV antennas or other objects on your roof, you should have them removed before your roof replacement in Euclid
